Inzamam-ul-Haq resigns as Afghanistan’s head coach after Pakistan Cricket Board decided to appoint him as Cheif Selector of the Pakistan Team. The announcement likely to be made on this Monday or Tuesday.
Former players Iqbal Qasim, Mohsin Khan and Rashid Latif were also few names under consideration but eventually the PCB zeroed in on Inzi. Following the appointment as the Chief Selector, Inzamam-ul Haq resigns his present job as Afghanistan’s head coach.
He was the man behind the good performance from Afghanistan Team. Afghanistan won the series against Zimbabwe and Afghanistan’s journey till the Super 10 stage. They earned lot of fans for their good performance.
He is one of the legends of Pakistan Cricket. He has played 378 ODI’s and 120 Test matches for Pakistan. He also captained the Pakistan Team in 31 Test matches and 87 ODI’s.
“Today Shaharyar Khan called me and asked a favor to release Inzamam-ul-Haq as they are keen to hire him,” ACB Chief Shafiq Stanikzai.
After Pakistan’s poor performance in World T20, Shahid Afridi forced to resign as captain and Waqar Younis resign as head coach. Pakistan exited from World T20 after losing the three games in their four games in the Super 10 stage.
