PV Sindhu already created a record of being a first Indian woman to enter into the badminton final in Olympic event. Now, she became the first Indian female player to win silver medal in the Olympic.
She won the bronze medal twice in the World Championship. Sindhu fought hard against world no.1 player Carolina Marin in the final.The first set saw PV Sindhu came from behind at 6-11 to seal the set 21-19.
And Carolina Marin went on to win clinch the 2nd set by 21-12. In the 3rd set, Marin won by 21-15. After Marin winning the final, PV Sindhu was the first to congratulate her.
