‘Vietnam Veedu’ Sundaram made his entry into the Tamil film industry with Sivaji Ganesan film Vietnam Veedu in 1970. This is why everyone calls him as ‘Vietnam Veedu’ Sundaram.
He went on to win the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Dialogue Writer for the film. Apart from writer, he has been a good director and acted in few films. Sundaram passed away today (Aug 06, 2016) morning around 6 AM at his house.
Later, he went on to write scrips for namley Naalai Namadhey, Naan Yen Pirandhen for MGR and Gnana Oli for Sivaji Ganesan. He also directed few films and his film ‘Gouravam’ with Sivaji Ganesan which turned out to be a huge success.
He also directed TV serials and featured in some serials.
